during the late Moche times, the Huari cultures began to develop. The Huari capital was to the south of Moche territory, in the central highlands of Peru.
There is no single, homogenous Huari style in ceramics. Instead, Huari pottery is found in a fairly wide range of local styles that feature certain similar imagery, often executed in polychrome slip painting that can be traced to Nasca ceramic technology.
