Description
ivory, yellowish patina, dark pigment in the deepenings, cylindrical corpus with incised circle pattern, eyelet on the backside which originally had been connected with the wooden stopper by a thin leather strap, stopper in shape of an anthropomorphic head with extremely fine carved facial features and coiffure, slightly dam. at the back of the head;
this ivory box once served as a prestige item for its owner.
