Three gaming pieces in the shape of swimming birds
Description
walrus ivory, brown patina, two with drillings at tail end, one with dotted pattern, all three with minor missing parts;
pieces for a childrens game of “dice”, that was played all across the Arctic. In play, some birds land upright when tossed on the ground, while others tip over on their sides. Players keep the birds that land upright, and whoever collects the most after several rounds is the winner.
