the Kulango belong to the Volta peoples. They inhabit the northeast of the Ivory Coast, the prefectures south of the Lobi, east of the Jimini and north of the Agni and Abron (Akan), whose tributary vassals they once were. Their geographical location is also reflected in their comparatively few works, which reveal above all Akan (Abron) and Senufo (Jimini), as well as Lobi and Gan influences.
