wood, dark brown patina, crude carved, crowned by a big head with accentuated eyes: bean-shaped with raised lancet-shaped framing, without any ornament, slightly dam., cracks, paint rubbed off, on block-like base;
matrilineal Luba sculpt primarily female figures. Present figure is a rare example of male ancestor figure.
