Description
wood, blackish brown patina, reduced forms: elongated legs, broad box-shaped shoulders, head with flat chin and c-shaped ears, incised scarification marks, slightly dam., minor missing parts (mouth, hands), cracks, paint rubbed off, rep. (left foot), on base;
there are only few figures, which can be attributed to the Malinke. They show a stylistic mixture influenced by the sculptural tradition of the Bamana, Mossi and Dogon.
