Description

wood, slightly encrusted blackish brown patina, long-legged, min. dam., slight traces of abrasion, socle;
figures of the Makonde are rarely to be found, most of them are in museums, only a few of them in private collections. Most of them are females in a so-called “dancing posture”. There is nothing known about their usage.
