Description

wood, matt reddish brown patina with remains of black paint, rising from long legs, compact body with crossed arms, unusual depiction of the breasts, animal hair stuffed into the right arm opening, straw skirt (rep.), slight abrasion of paint, cracks (base);
rare !
Ch. Bordogna stated: “possibly a protective figure from the Lake region showing Tabwa-Luba influence.”
