Description
wood, strongly encrusted blackish brown patina, pigment remains, massive head with large rectangular deepened mouth, arms close to block-like body, slightly dam., fine crack;
the Boki are a Bantoid group who live on both sides of the Cameroon border in the upper Cross River region. They are mainly known for their skin-covered dance crests which were used by three mens associations “nkang”, “egbege” and “bekarum”.
