fired red clay, remains of polychrome pigments, hollow figure, richly adorned with nose and ear-ornament, bracelets and necklace, elaborated coiffure composed of ceramic appliqués with the overlay technique, beautiful modelled hands with one palm turned upwards and the other downwards, misssing parts (fingers, hairdo);
the people we nowadays assign to the Jama-Coaque culture lived at the same time as the people of the Bahia culture. They settled the area of todays province of Manabi and the southern part of the Esmeralda province. Jama and Coaque are two find spots within the province of Manabi.
