Description
wood, partly encrusted brown patina, remains of pigments, in form of a standing female figure with angular shoulders and accentuated breasts, face with drilled eyes and crested coiffure, complete with crossbar, rep. (breakage back of the head), slight traces of abrasion, base;
locks of this type are of North African and Islamic origin. This finely carved example offered the protective power of ancestral spirits to the granary it guarded.
