Description

“tsuba” (“shakudo”) signed: “大森英貞” - Terusada - Ōmori school (scholar of Terumasa); of typical form, hilt, guard “tsuba” and sheath decorated with golden dragon motif, good state of preservation, l: 94,5 cm;
historically “katana” were one of the traditionally made Japanese swords that were used by the Samurai of ancient and feudal Japan. The “katana” is characterized by its distinctive appearance: a curved, single-edged blade with a circular or squared guard and long grip to accommodate two hands.
Additionally: sword from Southeast Indonesia: curved, single-edged blade, decorated with floral and dragon motifs, wooden hilt stud with chased metal sheet, sheath made from light wood, partly enveloped in ornamented metal sheet and wire, min. dam., slight traces of usage and corrosion, l: 88 cm
