Description

wood, brown patina, metal, fabric, handle in form of a standing human figure, on iron spike, min. dam., slight traces of abrasion and corrosion;
“phur-bu” is one of the most potent of all implements used in Tibetan ritual. Every Buddhist monk therefore needs a “phur-bu” to perform ceremonials and enforce their effects. Old implements which have belonged to distinguished saints or shamans and have been used by them have extra potency and are often used in exorcisms to destroy evil influences.
