Description
fired clay, painted in black, red and white pigment, round bodied receptacle with flat base, faces with tapering beak and large eyes on either side, good condition;
the two faces represent the marine eagle, a head-hunting symbol. The Aibom produce tremendous quantities of varied, functional pots both for their own use and for trading.
