burnished clay, polychrome paint (red, blue, black, creme white), thick-walled, the interior of the flat plate painted with a priest or shaman who is wearing a stylized mask of the Crocodile God, highly abstract, rare en-face design, conical foot with flaring rim, dam., rep.;
the design, bordered by dark lines, playing with rythmic alternation, fills up all the available place, demonstrating a certain “horror vacui”.
