The wall panel is from a bush church in the village of Poglapena (Bukapena) in the Mount Hagen area, where S. Quakamo was a missionary in the 1950/60s. The object is documented in an old black and white photograph.
Old postcards show other works by S. Quakamo, several panels that were created by him for the evangelist lutheran church in Kotna in the Highland area of Papua.
