The “kplekple” masks are the first set of masks to appear during “goli” celebrations. They appear as male-female couple, “kplekple yassoua” and “kplekple bla”, painted in black and red.
The masks represent the age group of young men and are worn by boys who perform wild dances and chase boys and girls across the village.
