Description

wood, matt patina, remains of pigments, tubular protruding eyes, the mouth originally inset with animal claws (now missing except but one), surface marked by holes (from inserted metal tags) and insect caused damage, min. dam., missing parts, traces of abrasion, base;
“bagle” denotes an acting mask for entertainment. The mask figures wig consists of cotton fiber or frazzles of cloth, the costume is a tippet or a large skirt made of plant fibers. The mask appears for entertainment, the dancer beats the audience with a hooked stick and throws objects he finds on his way.
