The Wobe, who belong to the ethnic group of the Wé (sometimes called “the Northern Wé”), live in western Côte d’Ivoire, to the east of the Dan and to the northwest of the Niabwa.
A mask by the same artist is held in the collection of the American Museum of Natural History, New York, USA (cf. AHDRC 0064343).
