Description
wood, encrusted dark brown patina, remains of pigments, the actual mask face superimposed to a six-sided fond, collection label “Städt. Sammlungen. No. 800” backside, min. dam., small missing parts (nose tip, left eye), slight traces of abrasion;
this mask shows elements of both the Ibibio and the Eket and probably derives from the border area of both ethnical groups.
