Description
wood, dark brown patina, the facial plane partly coated with resin-like mass, inset with cowrie snails and abrus seeds, mirror glass on cheeks and forehead, nose ring made from glass beads, crowned by five animal horns, dam. (breakage lower jaw), cracks, traces of abrasion;
according to J.- P. Colleyn an unusual “tjiwara” mask type, which was worn in front of the face. It used to accompany adolescent farmers at harvesting competitions on the fields and incited them to maximum demand.
