Description
wood, dark brown patina, carved with three horns wrapped with fabric, two animal horns attached, leather strips sewn with cowrie snails, mass remains in the eye zone, originally serving for attachment of mirror glass, silver metal earrings, slightly dam., missing parts, cracks, paint rubbed off;
according to J.- P. Colleyn an unusual “tjiwara” mask type, which was worn in front of the face. It used to accompany adolescent farmers at harvesting competitions on the fields and incited them to maximum demand.
