Description

wood, partly encrusted dark brown patina, metal tags in the forehead area, beard made from animal hair, hinged jaw affixed by metal wire, circular eyes framed by metal sheet, pierced around the rim, min. dam., slight traces of abrasion, on base;
according to Hans Himmelheber this mask type surely had educational purposes in former times but is nowadays only used for entertainment of the village people.
