Description
wood, black patina, red and yellow ochre, white pigment, of narrow form, enclosed by projecting cheeks and forehead, a broad hole for looking through, linear tattoos on both sides, slightly dam., cracks, rep. at the rim backside (on top left hand side), metal socle;
reminding of the “kagle” mask type of the Dan, which the Kran call “gbaba kila” (=“crotch figure”). The dancers are always “armed” with “ka”, a hook-shaped branch, which they use to annoy and enrage the audience.
