Description
wood, brown grounding, coated with a thick layer of kaolin, fabric, cord material, expressive face with a big open mouth, revealing three teeth and a tongue made of red dyed leather, fierce look underneath strong brows, moustache and forehead ornament of real hair, slightly dam., minor missing parts (eyes, corner right hand side), crack (upper rim), paint rubbed off;
these masks represent deities. They have been used during local ceremonies and dancing performances and are connected with local archaic traditions and hinduistic influence.
