Description
ivory, oval mouthpiece, crowned by a human head with tribe-typical head form and fine blackened incisions, min. dam.;
played at the court, representing royal power and presence. The trumpets were played when the king and his wife performed a dance called “mabolo”. Furtheron they announced the king’s victories.
