Description

cantilevered disc-shaped ornament of lygodium wickerwork, partly plaited in openwork design, dyed with white pigment, red and yellow ochre, in very good condition, metal socle;
dance ornament for “big men” (“nimandu”), worn e.g. at the so-called “kagu” dance in the ritual house; by small rods and cord attached to the hair on the back of the head.
