Description

wood, seed capsules, rep. , base

Expressive figure of unusual size which can be attributed most likely to the “blolo bla” type of figures, representing female partners from the Otherworld.

In case of health problems or other issues the diviners are consulted. They are the ones who tell the people that they have to order the carving of a “blolo” figure in order to get their problems solved.

Sculptures for a spirit spouse are objects of individual devotion. They are placed on shrines established in the corner of the sleeping room of the spirits human partner.

These spirits help their human partners broadly in their lives, and can spread their good will to the children or spouse of their partner.
