This ‘florero’, has an empty pedestal base filled with small ceramic pellets that rattle when the vessel is shaken.
These Moche bowls were produced from the fourth century A.D. Over time, they became taller and taller, with a smaller base and a wider, everted rim, which is often used to depict mythological scenes with deities and mythical creatures.
