Description
rectangular form, two-parted, bottom and top side of the lid made from wood, the sides from bark, decorated with fine plaited rattan bands, which were “sewn” on the bark, slightly dam., minor missing parts and crack, traces of insect caused damage (bottom);
used for keeping textiles. A comparable piece can be found in the Royal Museum for Central Africa in Tervuren, Inventory No. “EO 1954-40.22”.
