Description

raffia splints, cloth, colourful miniature glass beads (red, turquoise, black, white) in various forms and sizes, original cord material, cowrie shells, helmet-shaped crest in composite form: large elephant ears and slender tusks combined with the mighty beak of a hornbill, embroidered with beaded strings, arranged in geometrical patterns, a heavy object inserted into the crest (not identifiable because closed at the bottom), dried banana leaves for stuffing (beak) and cushioning (underside/headcrest), cloth bands for fixing, slightly dam., beaded strings partly dissolved, right ear and fabric band loose, traces of old age (cloth)
