wood, pigments, handwritten collection number “LU77,” old collection label “5…” (illegible), base

whistles “kasengosengo” were used to call people for several purposes: to summon them to the village when they were in the bush, durung the hunt to call companions for help and during war to encourage the men to march to battle and raise enthusiasm among the warriors.
