wood, blackish brown patina, brown pigment, incised scarification marks on the face, raised tattoos on neck and back, collection number “68-36-281” at the bottom, slightly dam., cracks (head and base on the left, right shoulder);
like all the other peoples living in the east of the Ivory Coast, the Abron belong to the ethnic group of the Akan. In woodcarvings the geographical locations of the Baule in the west and the Akan/Ashanti in the east can easily be seen.
