Description
wood, brown patina, fabric, glass beads, plaited leather straps, cord, the body entirely covered with incised scarification marks, resin-like mass with inserted red miniature glass beads in some places, metal bells on the back, nose with pierced septum, min. dam., missing parts through insect caused damage (feet, stool, thighs, coiffure), rep. (breakage left side of the head), traces of abrasion.
There are only few figures, that can be attributed to the Malinke. They show a stylistic mixture influenced by the sculptural tradition of the Bambara, Mossi and Dogon.
