light brown wood, mat patina, polychrome paint, both wearing long dresses, metal earring and strings of miniature beads around the hip and neck, min. dam., fine cracks, slight traces of abrasion;
a work of Agbagli Kossi (1934, Bé - 1994, Lomé). He was one of the most important carvers and sculptors within Togo. Kossi was artist, priest and healer at the same time and like his whole family he practized voodoo, so he was able to fill his figures with spirit himself.
