Face bell "omo" of the "ogboni" society

Description

brass, without clapper, min. dam., small missing parts, slight traces of corrosion;
the “omo” is said to represent remote ancestors, although each chief must have a facebell cast which will be later worn by his son over the right shoulder with the bell resting on the hip of the wearer.
