brass with patina, consisting of four hollow, partly open worked crescents with rattles, decorated with faces of “eshu” and eight knob-shaped appendages, min. dam., small missing parts, slight traces of corrosion, base;
such rattles, often called anklets, are used for enthronement and funerals of kings and chiefs. They are often made in pairs.
