Description
wood, kaolin, black paint, plant fibre, blackish mass, fabrics from different materials (partly brittle), metal, fabric strip added
Strikingly large human head on a long neck. The eyes with tin inlays. At the back of the head there are two rows of small bells whose delicate sound must have accompanied every movement of the headdress.
A stylistically comparable head with fabric-covered neck illustrated in Wittmer & Arnett, 1978, p. 27, ill. 59.
