wood, reddish brown patina, white pigment, flat lancet-shaped corpus, the head piece in shape of a lance blade, decorated with incised delicate ornaments, accentuated by white pigment rubbed into the deepenings, drilled hole on top, slightly dam., on metal base;
the bullroarer’s primary purpose was to act as security for the clan, warning them of an impending attack.
