Description

wood, red ochre, carved with parallel incisions on the upper convex side, min. dam., slightly blotched.
The hunting boomerang eliminated the need to carry a number of different tools. It was used as a knife, a hammer or club, a digging tool, for making fire by friction, for musical accompaniment as a percussion instrument - as well as its main function as a hunting or fighting weapon.
