Probably carved by one of the sons of Olumole of Iseyin, perhaps Ogundeji (comparable object see AHDRC 0105288).
This bowls served to store the utensils of the “Ifa” diviner (holy palm nuts “ikin”, “opele” divination chain, “iroke ifa” tapper, small bone figures “ikin ifa”).
