Description

wood, nails, fabric, cord material, polychrome paint, narrow middle slat flanked by fork-shaped projecting side slats, large round disc superimposed in the centre, covered with fabric and painted with stylized facial features, slightly dam., abrasion of paint, base.
Such dance wands were carried by women at important “kachina” ceremonies.
