Description

light wood, polychrome paint, bamboo cross bar on the back for fixing the mask with the teeth (traces of teeth visible), rep. (breakage left horn), small missing parts, traces of abrasion;
in the southern Guro country, the mask “zewe"is extremely powerful and represents either the chief or the spokesman of the “je” society. In the north, however, the mask is called “fire-eater”- mask, because of its big open snout
