Description

wood, wrapped in animal skin, with separate carved limbs, rising from small disc-shaped wickerwork base, coiffure from real hair, min. dam., small missing parts, base;
“tukum” dance crests have entertaining function. They appear during the funeral of important dignitaries, but are just as likely to perform during life-cycle celebrations of ordinary people. They are also employed to celebrate victorious wars.
