Description

light-weighted wood, lusterless black patina, a massive neck supporting a head with tapering chin and facial features, which are concentrated on a small area, slightly dam., minor missing parts, rep. (breakages left forearm and hand), block-like socle;
only kings and high dignitaries were allowed to posess ritual objects like the ancestor figures and only selected artists were allowed to carve them.
