Description

wood, polychrome paint, of hollowed slender form with open snout and flat horns, min. dam., missing parts through insect caused damage (back), fine cracks, slight traces of abrasion;
“zamble” represents a bushbuck “zru”. Along with “zauli” and “gu” it belongs to the group of the so-called “yu-masks”. “Zamble” should ward off sorcerers and in cases of conflict he acts as mediator.
