Description

wood, dark brown patina, remains of kaolin, eyes framed by notched eyelashes, min. dam., traces of insect caused damage, slight traces of abrasion, cracks;
Babanki masks retain the imposing presence which characterizes Grassfield art, but are without its aggressive expressionist quality. It is the “prettiest” style of the Grassfields.
