Description
wood, dark brown patina, remains of pigments, crowned by buffalo horns that are nearly closed on top, staff-like projections at the sides, pierced around the rim, min. dam., small missing parts, slight traces of abrasion;
resembling the “do muso” masks of the “Diula” people, which are stylistically related to the masks of the Senufo.
The object Zoomorphic mask “siginkura-ayna” with the object ID 3035329 was part of the auction 74th tribal art auction on September 7, 2013. The object with the lot number 156 achieved a sales price of EUR 1,300 with an asking price of EUR 1,000.
