According to Vittorio Mangio a ritual mask representing a baboon, used in judicial ceremonies. As a judicial consultant the wearer of the mask could allegedly ask for a small baby to be killed and eaten (cf. AHDRC 0067649).


The object Zoomorphic mask “ni bli bu-ge” (“baby eater”) with the object ID 3050137 was part of the auction 101st Auction on November 11, 2023. The object with the lot number 191 achieved a sales price of EUR 2,600 with an asking price of EUR 2,000.
