the Ligbi are a small Mande-speaking group living around the towns of Bondoukou and Kong where they had settled even before the Dioula. Like with many ethnic groups who borrow artistic elements from their neighbours and integrate them into their works, also with the Ligbi a significant mixture of Jimini, a subgroup of the Senufo, Senufo and Kulango expressions are to be found with their rather rare masks.
